Creating your own plan
Our communication toolkit is available all year round, so if you’d prefer you can create your own plan which better suits you and your employees.
Before you begin, it’s worth considering which times and formats are most effective for communicating with your employees.
Key events
Think about the most important times to engage with your employees. Some examples include:
- new joiners
- life events
- benefits window
- pay reviews
- bonus period
- approaching retirement.
Format decisions
After deciding which topics to communicate, think about how to communicate your message. Some key questions are:
- Do you have email addresses for all your employees?
- Where would be best to put up a poster?
- Could you use your intranet or other internal communications?
- Do you have an employee hub?
