Hi Katie,
We want to help you get the most from your Royal London Pension Plan. This short video will give you an overview of your pension savings as at the 31st of January 2025, and what this might mean for your future.
At this date, your total plan value was around £25,000.
This is made up of what you’ve paid into your plan, what your employer has paid in; how much your pension savings may have grown; any money you’ve taken out of your plan; the charges you’ve paid; and, if your plan’s eligible, any ProfitShare we’ve awarded.
Let’s look at how your pension savings have changed since your last yearly update.
In the last 12 months, you’ve contributed £1,600. Your employer has contributed £1,200. And you’ve received £400 in tax relief from the Government. You’ve also transferred £5,000 into your plan.
Your plan has grown by £2,200, minus any charges and money you’ve taken out of your pension.
On top of that, your pension has been boosted by £40 in ProfitShare. Investment returns aren't guaranteed. So while your pension savings could grow, their value can also go down, and you could get back less than you put in.
Here’s where your pension savings are invested.
It’s important you review your investment choices regularly to ensure they align with your retirement goals and risk appetite.
If the expected contributions into your plan continue until you’re 60, we’ve estimated it could be worth £148,000 when you retire.
This could give you an annual income of around £8,500 which is around £700 each month. These figures aren’t guaranteed and are based on some assumptions we’ve made about how your plan will perform.
