We’re committed to cutting the carbon footprint across our investment portfolios in half by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2050. To help us achieve this, our flagship Governed Range will now include an even greater focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors.
We have introduced “tilts” to our £23bn passive equity funds, included in our Governed Range. The ‘tilted’ equity funds will increase holdings of companies with good Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices and reduce holdings in companies with poorer practices. As a result, the carbon intensity of equity investment in the Governed Range is expected to reduce by more than 10%.
