We've made it easier for you to correct workers contributions if they aren't what we expected.
When you submit your schedule, we match up the NI numbers on the dashboard so we can apply the money to the correct workers. If a worker isn’t found on the dashboard, you can review and correct this in the Review Schedule screen. Here you can add new workers, match contributions to an existing worker and edit details such as their NI number if we’ve identified them as a potential match.
Simply select the Add worker link or the Choose an action link and select one of the three options from the drop down menu:
This option will only appear if we can’t find a potential match. This adds the worker to the dashboard and matches the contribution to them. If you don’t add a worker, the contribution may not be applied correctly.
This option updates the NI number in the dashboard to match the NI number on the schedule. The schedule will be updated when you submit it.
Before choosing this option, you should click on the ellipses for more information to help you match the contribution to the correct worker. It’s important to always review this before matching any contributions, so you don’t match it to the wrong worker.

If we’ve suggested a match that you don’t agree with, you can select this option to ignore the match. You’ll then be able to add a different worker to the dashboard. If you choose to ignore the match and don’t add a worker, your contribution may not be applied correctly.
If you don’t choose any of these options, you’ll see an error message. You can then go back and choose the correct option, or ignore the match. If you ignore the match and don’t add a worker, your contribution may not be applied correctly.
You can also change salary exchange contributions on the Contributions review screen. If the worker doesn’t use salary exchange, you can to remove it here, and this will be saved in the schedule when you submit the contribution. If you re-use the same schedule the following month, it’ll be updated to reflect this change.
There’s two ways to switch off salary exchange, depending on the type of worker.
Yes - you can continue to submit your contributions in the same way and you’ll still be able to do this without changing any worker or contribution details.
No - we recommend you update any worker details before you submit your contribution. You can do this on the Edit worker screen in the Workforce section of your dashboard.
This will help make sure your scheme records are up to date and that we can apply contributions correctly for your workers. However, if you need to make an update while you’re submitting a contribution, these new changes will make it easier for you.
